Objective

You can comprehensively and reliably assess the functional capacity and load level of a cardiorespiratory rehabilitator using key evaluation methods and measurements used in physiotherapy.
You can design and guide therapeutic exercises that promote functional and mobility skills for cardiovascular and respiratory rehabilitation patients, taking into account individual loading levels as well as the specific characteristics related to circulatory and respiratory diseases and dysfunctions.
You can apply your expertise in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy in the physiotherapy process, considering professional recommendations, evidence-based methods of intervention, as well as client-centeredness, individual strengths, and the environment.

How do you choose, justify and use assessment methods for the cardiology and respiratory rehabilitator's functional capacity and load level in demanding respiratory and cardiac physiotherapy situations?

Qualifications

Competence is required in client interaction, observing basic mobility, assessing functional capacity, and the fundamentals of guidance. Additionally, you understand the key mechanisms, risk factors, and effects of respiratory and cardiovascular disorders on an individual’s mobility and functional capacity, which are central to the profession.
