Knowledge of international conventions concerning ships' seaworthiness, cargo, and environmental worthiness

 ISPS course, planning and use of the ISM code, Load Line Convention, SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) and MARPOL (Marine Pollution) 73/78 Conventions where applicable
