Objective

Students show know-how in the finnish nutritional recommendations. Students are familiar with the most common special diets and religious, cultural regulations of food consumption. Students can analyse nutritional value of diet, meal or food stuff using computer applied software Students can modify meals or food stuff for the most common special diets or cultural regulations of food consumption Students can prepare food for the common special diets using special diet food stuffs. Students can communicate with customers about the nutritional value of food.

Content

What is the nutritional value of different food gorups? How to plan healthy diet, meal or food stuff? How my nutrition intake correlate with the nutritionla recommendations? Which are the most common special diets, religious or cultural regulations and their limitations for food intake?

Assessment criteria, good (3)

a. Students can use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way b. Students can look for information in the key information sources of the field e. Students can use the computer applied nutrition software and special diet food stuffs
