Objective

Ability to search for information needed in route planning, to use the information correctly, and to make a route plan accordingly The characteristics of different meteorological systems. Ability to use and interpret information obtained from the ship's meteorological instruments as well as other meteorological information available.

International and national legislation concerning route planning, utilization of navigation manuals, The structure of the atmosphere, meteorological systems, weather charts and weather reports, currents, exercises, other content described in STCW A - II/1.
