Objective

You are able to develop, plan and assess the guidance of the client and their relatives in a multi-professional work community and base the development of guidance on nursing recommendations.
You know the effective patient guidance methods that help them take responsibility for their own care, health and well-being.
You can plan, promote, and evaluate the development of organizational skills in a variety of ways, motivating clients for lifelong learning.
You are able to work in networks that develop health and wellness services and promote the health and wellbeing of the population.
You can act as a consulting expert for professionals and others involved in client care.

Content

1. Health promotion and disease prevention:
How do I work in my area of expertise in health promotion, and in its assessment and strategic development?
2. Guidance of the client / the patient and their relatives, and development of the methods:
How do I design, develop, and critically evaluate evidence-based patient guidance, its methods, and materials for the different needs of individuals and groups using modern methods?
3. Education and developing the work community:
How do I coordinate the work of a multi-professional client care team?
How do I train other actors in the work community using my highly specialized expertise?
How do I promote and support staff commitment to continuous patient guidance development?

Evaluation

Students can

a. acquire and evaluate cross-sectoral information about the prevention of public diseases critically in their own field
b. solve demanding problems in the prevention of public health problems in clinical nursing
c. independently evaluate and manage the activities of individual people or groups
e. assess strategic approaches to the prevention of public health and to justify their use from a development point of view
