Objective

You are able to interact in Finnish in common everyday and working life situations both orally and in writing.
You are able to attend conversation, write everyday and working life texts and communicate also spontaneously.
You have command of different phrases, structures and vocabulary of various topics (CEFR level B1.1).
You are familiar with a large variety of grammatical features, like types of clauses and sentence structures.
You are able to expand your vocabulary, phraseology and knowledge of language usage also independently. You can display familiarity in Finnish communication and working life culture.

Which phrases and what kind of vocabulary and grammatical knowledge you need for everyday and working life communication?
Which sources and tools you can use in order to continue your Finnish studies? How take advantage of different interaction situations to support your own learning?
How to use your cultural and working life knowledge in communication?

Qualifications

Attending the course requires completing the course of Finnish 4 or having corresponding skills.

Accomplishment methods

The course Finnish 5 is part of the studies of supplementary competence. The assessment emphazises criteria a—d and f. A student that has reached the level 3 is able to
a) use phrases, quite versatile vocabulary and grammatical knowledge (CEFR level B1.1) in everyday and working life communication
b) look for information from various sources
c) identify various contexts and interrelated tasks
d) communicate in versatile everyday and working life situations
f) work as team-members in a goal-oriented way.
