Objective
Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- pipe dimensions and diameters
- physical properties of fluids in pipelines
- selecting optimum pump for the purpose with the aid of pump specific diagrams and the influence of types of pump control
Content
- pipeline sizing
- determining pressure loss and resistance in pipelines
- pump specific characteristic curves
- pump connections and ways to control pumps
- cavitation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices
- apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations
