Objective

You know the diabetic foot care recommendation.
You know the factors that predispose diabetics to leg problems, ulcers and amputations.
You know what the risk classification of diabetics' feet is.
You can examine the diabetic's feet and justify the importance of regular examination.
You can identify the factors that predispose patients to foot wounds and you can guide clients to wound prevention.
You know how to prevent and treat foot ulcers in podiatry.
You know the importance of antibiotic therapy in acute infection and osteomyelitis.
You understand the role of podiatrists in preventing and treating foot ulcers in multi-professional teams.

How should diabetic foot care be organized?
How do different factors influence the onset of diabetic foot problems?
What is the risk classification of diabetic feet?
How do you examine diabetics' feet and identify the different risk factors?
How can foot ulcers be prevented and treated?
How is the Charcot foot treated?
What is the role of antibiotic therapy in acute infection and osteomyelitis?
How do podiatrists work in multi-professional footwork teams?
