Objective

The learning objectives of the course are:
• students deepen and expand their knowledge of English grammar and structures
• students can use the structures of the English language fluently
• students develop a general understanding of the differences between formal and informal language
• students improve their written communication skills in English

Content

The course focuses on revising English structures and expanding the students’ grammar skills. The course covers topics such as:
• formal and informal language in terms of vocabulary and structures
• development of reading comprehension skills
• introduction to phrasal verbs and idioms
• verb structures and their use (tenses, passive and active, use of different future forms)
• revision of prepositions
• relative clauses and the related use of commas
• exceptions relating to the plural forms of nouns, special cases of article use

Evaluation

Completing the course successfully requires that the student reaches the passing grade defined in the learning tasks and the final test. The learning tasks and the final test are assessed automatically. The course is assessed Pass/Fail.
