Objective
This course is part of the module Family Health Promotion and Care. After completing the course Health Promotion and Health Technology: - you will be able to identify your customers’ health risk factors and target early support to those who need it - you will be able to plan and implement interventions to promote health and functional capacity for individuals and groups with their customers, in multiprofessional cooperation, and in accordance with the principles of sustainable development - you will know how to apply current Finnish nutrition and care recommendations for different age and target groups in the prevention of disease and treatment of national health - you will know how to apply current research data in health promotion and other evidence to customer work - you will know how to guide the customer and their family at different stages of care - you will be familiar with the opportunities that technology has to offer for the promotion of health.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
- Student identifies their customers’ health risk factors and targets early support to those who need it. - Student is able to plan and implement interventions to promote health and functional capacity for individuals and groups with their customers, in multiprofessional cooperation, and in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. - Student knows the current Finnish nutrition and care recommendations for different age and target groups in the prevention of disease and treatment of national health. - Student knows how to find current research data in health promotion and other evidence to customer work. - Student knows how to guide the customer and their family at different stages of care. -Student knows the potential of technology in promoting health.

- Student can identify a variety of their customers/patients’ health risk factors and target early support to those in need. - Student is able to plan and implement a variety of interventions to promote health and functional capacity for individuals and groups with their customers/patients, in multiprofessional cooperation, and in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. - Student knows how to find and apply current Finnish nutrition and care recommendations for different age and target groups in the prevention of disease and treatment of national health in a versatile manner. - Student knows how to apply current research data in health promotion and other evidence to customer work. - Student knows how to guide the customer and their family as individuals at different stages of care. - Student is extensively aware of the potential of technology in promoting health.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
- Student can identify and assess their customers’ health risk factors and target early support to those in need in a versatile manner. - Student is able to plan and implement a variety of customer-focused interventions to promote health and functional capacity for individuals and groups with their customers, in multiprofessional cooperation, and in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. - Student knows how to find and apply, as well as critically assess, current Finnish nutrition and care recommendations for different age and target groups in the prevention of disease and treatment of national health in a versatile manner. - Student knows how to apply and extensively assess current research data in health promotion and other evidence to customer work. - Student knows how to guide the customer and their family as individuals with respect to their capabilities at different stages of care. - Student is extensively aware and able to assess the possibilities of technology in promoting health.
