Objective
After completing the course Traumatic Crisis and Psychosocial Support: - you will understand the concepts of trauma and crisis - you will know the services, legislation and instructions of crisis help - you will master the basic principles and methods of crisis work - you will understand the normal reaction to sorrow and how to encounter a person in sorrow - you will practice controlling stress and developing resilience - you will know factors that affect a worker’s wellbeing and you will understand the factors of compassion fatigue and secondary traumatic stress.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
- The student masters the basic principles and methods of crisis work and is able to counsel the client and their family according to their needs. - The student knows the services, legislation and instructions of crisis help. - The student uses systematically the professional concepts of crisis work and is able to assess the activities in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. - The student applies factors that enhance the wellbeing of themselves and the work community in their working environment.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
- The student masters well the basic principles and methods of crisis work. - The student can counsel the client and their family according to their needs, evidence-based information and instructions, as an expert. - The student knows well the services, legislation and instructions of crisis help. - The student uses the professional concepts of crisis work widely as an expert and is able to assess the activities in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. - The student applies factors that enhance the wellbeing of themselves and the work community in their working environment and detects areas for development.

- The student masters excellently the basic principles and methods of crisis work. - The student can counsel the client and their family according to their needs, evidence-based information and instructions, as an expert. - The student knows variously the services, legislation and instructions of crisis help. - The student uses the professional concepts of crisis work widely as an expert and is able to assess the activities in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. - The student applies factors that enhance the wellbeing of themselves and the work community in their working environment and offers areas for development based on research-based knowledge.
