Objective

1. I understand the importance of evidence-based practice as part of high-quality rehabilitation services and I know the key concepts of evidence-based practice 2. I search and analyze evidence about evidence-based rehabilitation as part of the development of rehabilitation and my action at work as a rehabilitation professional 3. I evaluate rehabilitation interventions in my area of expertise 4. I recognize the basics related to the assessment of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness 5. I recognize my role in the promotion of evidence-based rehabilitation, the implementation and transfer of evidence

Content

1. Areas and key concepts of the evidence-based healthcare model. 2. Databases combining evidence-based information, systematic literature review, treatment and rehabilitation guidelines, good rehabilitation procedures 3. The basics for the evaluation of interventions that are effective and meaningful to customers, as well as the basis for the development of interventions (planning, piloting, evaluation, and implementation of interventions) 4. The research design of evaluating effectiveness and cost-effectiveness. 5. By the FinAME expertise model, the process of introducing and spreading the screen in rehabilitation work. Utilization of forecasting information in development work

Qualifications

It is recommended that the student has completed or otherwise acquired competence in research methods.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the key concepts of evidence-based and effective rehabilitation and identifies rehabilitation interventions in they area of expertise at a basic level. The student knows the relevance of evidence-based practice, but its application needs further development. The student seeks information about evidence-based rehabilitation and identifies they own role in promoting evidence and takes steps to actively implement it. The student knows the basic principles of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness evaluation and is practising their application.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows the key concepts of evidence-based practice and can apply them in practice. The student can evaluate current rehabilitation interventions in their area of expertise well and can justify their evaluation-based actions on research evidence. The student understands the importance of evidence-based practice and can apply it consistently in rehabilitation services. The student actively seeks and analyses information about evidence-based rehabilitation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can master and apply key concepts of evidence-based practice creatively and effectively. The student evaluates current rehabilitation interventions in their area of expertise in an excellent and innovative way. The student understands the importance of evidence-based practice as part of quality rehabilitation services. The student systematically searches for and analyses information on evidence-based rehabilitation and uses this information in the development of rehabilitation services.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student do not achieve the objectives set for the course.
