Videos and Digital Stories Demonstrating CompetenceLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

1. The student understands the importance of demonstrating competence for one's own studies and career development. 2. Students become familiar with the basics and examples of storytelling through their own research, experimentation and assignments. 3. The student is able to use the applications and publishing channels needed to make and share digital stories and videos. 4. The student makes his / her own publication, demonstrating his / her skills through digital storytelling and / or video and publishes it either in public or distributed only to the targeted persons.

Content

1. How do I publish my expertise in a controlled way? 2. Demonstrating competence - what does it mean in practice and for this course? 3. Storytelling - how does it relate to demonstrating skills? 4. Image processing with modern browser and mobile applications. 5. Basics of Video Editing. 6. Digital Stories. 7. Exercise: Demonstrating one's own skills.

Qualifications

A computer connected to the Internet or an iPad / Android pad is essential.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student demonstrates mastery of the stated goals through the assigned learning tasks and assignments. The assignment must be ready online by the deadline and distributed to at least the person in charge of the course.

Study materials will be demonstrated online during the course.

Further information

The course can be completed on a computer with internet access. It also works with iPads and Android pads with Internet access, and even with IOS and Android smartphones (not recommended).

Self-study as instructed and completing learning tasks.
