Objective
In this course, we explore the foundations and practice of service design. Students will be introduced to key service innovation theories and become familiar with service design terminology and methods. In the practical part of the course, students will learn how to design and implement service design-based development projects that respond to workplace needs. The course is suitable for students of all disciplines. On successfully completing this course, students will: - understand the importance of services in business - understand the importance of service quality for an organisation’s competitiveness. - be familiar with the fundamentals of design thinking and service design - be familiar with a range of service productisation methods and have the ability to apply them in practice. - have the skills to create and implement a service design strategy for developing services.
