Objective
The studentis capable of leading the systematic assessment of a patient's state, examination and emergency care
- is able to recognize and foresee situations demanding expertise of emergency caremasters independent recognition of dysfunctions in vital functions, and is able to take care of situations threatening a patient's life or demanding other immediate care
- can draw out a working diagnosis for the patient

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Ensihoidon erityisosaaminen 5op, jolloin opiskelija suorittaa opinnot opetussuunnitelman mukaisesti:
Opiskelijalla tulee olla suoritettuna ensihoidon perusteisiin liittyvät perusopinnot 20op sekä perustason ensihoidon kenttäharjoittelu 10op, ennen kurssille hyväksymistä.
- ensihoidon erityisosaaminen
- ensihoitolääketiede (EH-lääkärin, lastenlääkärin ja yleislääketieteen luennot)
- hoitotason ensihoidon luennot sekä harjoitteet (simulaatiot)
- ensihoidon vaativa erityisosaaminen
