Objective

STCW A-III/1 required knowledge, understanding and proficiency of:
- Structure of electrical network, main- and emergency switchboard and regulations.
- Power management system (PMS)
- Operation of Emergency diesel generator in black-out situation and recovery of electrical power after blackout.
- Emergency supply and shore supply
- Start preparations of DG and transition from EG / Shore Supply to DG supply
- Manual and automatic syncronisation of DG
- DG protective equipment
- DG motor protection equipment
- Engine room watchkeeping procedures
- Starting of steam plant
