Knowledge, understanding and proficiency of:
- the basics of mechanical system maintenance and methods.
- maintenance arrays.
- diagnostic applications and devices of maintenance.
- failure mechanisms.
- applications of maintenance on board a ship.
- nondestructive tests (NDT).

You attend your study in the multi-mode education. Degree of Deck Officer, operational level (STCW A-II/1) OR Degree of Engineer Officer, operational level (STCW A-III/1) OR Certificate of Competency: Deck Officer / Engineer Officer IS REQUIRED.
