Objective

You have knowledge of the basic structures and properties of organic compounds and their functional groups and you know how to name them. You are familiar with the most important polymers and their properties and reaction mechanisms.

Content

How do you identify and name organic compounds? What are the properties of the most important functional groups and what is their significance in the environment? What kind of applications are there in organic chemistry? What are the most important polymers and their physical and chemical properties? How polymers are synthetized with different reaction mechanisms? How the structure and properties of polymers can be analysed with different methods?
