    Learning outcomes of the course
    After the course you are able to:
    - calculate the power of heat exchangers in a power plant and the efficiency of a boiler
    - calculate the reactions of combustion and emissions
    - explain the characteristics of the various boiler types and operating principles
    - explain boiler use and operation.
    Prerequisites and co-requisites
    Requires basic knowledge of technical thermodynamics, mathematics and physics (solving equations, basic units, units)
    Course contents
    How is the power plant boiler efficiency calculated and how are the boiler heat exchangers designed? What are the chemical reactions of combustion and what emissions do they form? What is the meaning of boiler operation and real-time condition monitoring? What are the most common boiler types? What is meant by boiler preservation, pickling and magnetite film run?
