You can identify and assess the individual growth and motor development of children and adolescents and the key disorders associated with them.
You can individually consider the specific characteristics associated with diseases and functional impairments in the planning, implementation and guidance of physiotherapy for children and adolescents.
You can use multidisciplinary collaboration and consider the resources of families and the potential of the living environment for the rehabilitation process of a child or adolescent.
You can apply your expertise in pediatric and adolescent physiotherapy, taking into account professional guidelines and evidence-based physiotherapy methods.

How do you identify the characteristics of individual growth and motor development in children and adolescents, as well as deviations from typical development?
What are the key disorders in the growth and motor development of children and adolescents, and how can they be detected?
How do you assess and support the motor development and functional ability of children and adolescents in different age groups?
How do you individually address the specific characteristics related to illnesses, injuries, and congenital challenges in physical functioning and learning in the physiotherapy process for children and adolescents?
How do you consider the self-determination rights of minors and the current social and healthcare legislation in the physiotherapy process?
How do you consider the close adults, family, and living conditions of a child or adolescent in the physiotherapy process?

Qualifications

Basic knowledge is required about the prerequisites for motor development and motor learning in children and adolescents, the stages of motor skill acquisition, and the key factors that influence skill learning. Additionally, you know the basics of functional capacity assessment,and individual and group guidance, as well as the effects of movement and physical activity on health and functional capacity.
