Objective

You know how to study purposefully to develop your own professional growth and professional know-how.
You know how to choose the most suitable study methods and know how to reach the degree objective.
You know how to act according to the policies and rules of working life.
You know how to apply the ethical principles of your own subject field in different situations.
You know how to strengthen your employment skills.
You know how to market your skills and competence to the employer.

Content

Being a student at a university of applied sciences:
What is XAMK like in terms of studying community and learning environment?
What is your personal career and study plan?
What kind of a learner are you and how do you develop your study skills?
How do you make your internal entrepreneurship support your goals?

Professional know-how and ethical principles:
What are the national and international operating environments, procedures and the rules of the workplace?
What are the ethical principles of the profession and how to apply them to your work?

Preparation for working life:
What are your own professional strengths and employment skills and how do you use them in your personal networks?
How do you apply for a job?
What kinds of post-graduate study opportunities are there?

Materiaali ja tehtävät osoitetaan opintojakson aikana.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Ammatillinen kasvu tehdään kolmen ensimmäisen opiskeluvuoden aikana.
Syksyllä 2018 orientoidut ammattikorkeakouluopintoihin (1 op) kontaktiopetuksessa ja tehtävienn tekemisessä. Tammikuusta 2019 alkaa ammatillisen kasvun osuus 2 op. Tutustut metsäalan orgasinaatioihin ja työtehtäviin osallistumalla opetukseen.
Maaliskuussa 2020 teet 1 op osuuden osallistumalla harjoittelupaikkahakemusten tekemisen työpajaan ja HOPS-keskusteluun.
Tammikuussa 2021 teet viimeisen opintopisteet tehtävillä ja osallistumalla HOPS-keskusteluun. Tällöin merkitään sinulle kokonaissuoritus Peppiin.

Student workload

Opiskelijan työmäärä jakautuu kolmelle vuodelle:
Ensimmäisenä lukuvuonna teet 3 op eli osallistut opetukseen ja teet harjoitukset ja käytätä näihin 41 tuntia, toisena vuonna työskentelet 27 tunnin edestä (1 op) kuten myös kolmantentena vuonna (1 op)
