Objective
The aim is to understand the importance of co-operation between a wood designer and an architect from the concept to the realization
Content
Introduction of the project examples, architect and expert lectures
• excursions
• the overview of Scandinavian and European wood architecture
• use of different wood species in building construction
• authoritative regulations and instructions
• study tasks and lectures

Study forms and methods
Xamk offers its students an opportunity to pursue studies flexibly to suit their various life situations. Students can choose between three learning routes: a learning route based on a working week, a learning route that accelerates the studies, and a work-based learning route.
A learning route based on a working week:
The contact teaching will be arranged on Fridays and on Saturdays approximately every second week.
Student workload
5cr is 135h where contact teaching is 70h and independence working is 65h

The study module is composed of lectures of experts of wood architecture and from the excursions in the different wood architecture buildings.
