Courtyard and environmental constructions (5 cr)

Objective

After the study unit a student
• knows the legislation and the recommendations concerning the yard and environment constructions
• is capable of drawing up plans from concepts into precise drawings taking into account both landscape and architecture
• can choose the weather and rot resistant, healthy and safe materials due to the use using locally produced building materials whenever it’s possible to do
• knows the high-quality and sustainable working methods and constructions

Study forms and methods

Xamk offers its students an opportunity to pursue studies flexibly to suit their various life situations. Students can choose between three learning routes: a learning route based on a working week, a learning route that accelerates the studies, and a work-based learning route.

A learning route based on a working week:
The contact teaching will be arranged on Fridays and on Saturdays approximately every second week.

5cr is 135h where contact teaching is 70h and independence working is 65h
