Objective

You can: use professional terminology of well-being tourism. understand Finland’s well-being tourism strategy and its goals. identify the meaning of art and culture in well-being tourism identify the importance of food and nutrition for well-being and utilize the know-how in well-being tourism. identify the measuring technologies of well-being tourism and the possibilities to piggyback on technology in well-being tourism. design, produce and evaluate experience-based well-being products and services together with enterprises of this field

What is the key terminology in well-being tourism? What is Finland’s well-being tourism strategy, mission and vision? What are the effects of art and culture in well-being tourism? How does food affect human well-being? How do you utilize the technology in well-being tourism? How do you design, produce and evaluate products and services for well-being tourism?

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Osallistut työjärjestyksen mukaiseen opetukseen ja ohjaukseen. Tutustut mm hyvinvointimatkailuun ja sen historiaan, wellness ja Finrelax ajatteluun.
-Lähiopetus ja luennot lukujärjestyksen mukaan sisältäen työpajat, oppimistehtävän, tuotekehittelyn ja esittelyn.
Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Verkko - opintojen toteutus: Perehdyt itsenäisesti Moodlessa olevaan materiaaliin ja teet verkossa olevat oppimistehtävät (7 kpl) . Oppimistehtävät sisältävät itsenäistä aiheeseen tutustumista. Tehtäviä varten tarvitset kirjan Suontausta.H. & Tyni.M. 2005.Wellness-matkailu - hyvinvointi matkailun tuotekehityksessä.

Students can: a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations. e) choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to purpose and justify these choices. f) promote teams´ goal-oriented operation.

Prerequisites: basic know-how and skills about hospitality industry and customer oriented productization
