Objective
After this study unit, a student is able to explain the construction of steam boiler components analyze fuel properties analyze the function of boilers based on measurements calculate combustion based on chemical equations calculate energy balances and efficiency of boilers explain the working principle of water treatment devices explain how boilers are operated safety according to the regulations explain the construction and working principle of turbines calculate the power and efficiency of turbines.
