Objective

Students achieve the required level in chemistry studies at the University of Applied Sciences.

Content

Basics of chemistry, e.g. atomic structure and electron shell, periodic table, chemical symbols of elements and writing molecular formulas, key chemical concepts and units: e.g. mole, molar mass, amount of substance and concentration

Course material

Kemian perusteita käsittelevät oppikirjat, esim. lukion kemian oppikirjat (esim. Mooli-kirjasarja) ja sähköisesti jaettava materiaali.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
työjärjestyksen mukainen opetus, joka sisältää teoriatunteja.
Itsenäinen opiskelu, harjoitustehtävät.

Student workload

Opintojakso sisältää luentoja ja ohjattuja harjoituksia 30 h ja opiskelijan itsenäistä työskentelyä 50 h.
