Objective

The student has an understanding of how underlying multiplayer architecture works in Unreal Engine. The student knows what elements are by default common between server and client and what aren’t and how they can use that information to their benefit. The student knows the most common settings used in a multiplayer game and how to use them. At the end of the course, the student can create a working multiplayer game independently.

Content

During the course, we learn what kind of architecture Unreal Engine uses in its multiplayer system; what menus and settings are related to multiplayer and how to use them. We create small examples that use different multiplayer features.
