Objective
You can characterize major global commitments to sustainable development and explain their influence on an industry level. You can create a framework for developing firm’s sustainable growth strategy including trends and issues regarding sustainable future. You can develop an action plan for implementing more sustainable growth strategies.
Content
How do international agreements and conventions govern sustainable development and what are the best industry practices for sustainability? How to incorporate sustainability into growth strategies? What are the metrics, measurements, and tools for tracking sustainability? (eg., ISO standards, triple bottom-line, key performance indicators (KPIs), lifecycle assessment (LCA), carbon management)
Course material
Literature, and the study material will be announced prior to the course.
Course part description
During the course, there will be no contact lectures as the distant learning practices will be applied. The course, however, contains one obligatory online meeting including
group discussion session with tasks and statements that are examined and solved jointly. Prior to the course, there is also an orientation assignment. A detailed schedule related to the learning process will be announced on the Learn- site.

Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment is based on the two reports (grading 0-5), orientation assignment (approved/failed), and participation to the online meeting (compulsory). All parts need to be completed to pass the course.
