Objective

The main objectives of this course are:
•You'll learn the basic features of Russian business culture and customs;
• You'll be able to recognize differences between your own culture and Russian business and communication culture;
• You'll learn to evaluate and apply your knowledge and skills in business related situations.

Timing of exams and assignments

No examination.
The course involves a learning diary and an essay.
If the diary and essay are submitted by 16 June, the grade is given in June.
The final deadline is 31 August and the grade is given in September.

The course consists of five topics:
1. What is Culture?
2. Differences between Cultures
3. Manners and customs in Russia
4. Russian Culture of Communication and Interaction
5. Russian business etiquette and negotiations

To pass the course:
- the learning diary shall be completed according to the instructions given on the learning platform
- the essay must reflect you mastery of the relevant concepts and the ability to apply the theory on practical examples.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

After completing the course with this grade, the student will have satisfactory skills in terms of how to
- use the concepts describing Russian society and culture
- search for information from relevant information sources and apply this information

After completing the course with this grade, the student will have good skills in terms of how to
