Developing as an expert in clinical nursing (5 cr)

Objective

You know the tasks, roles and importance of a nurse practitioner in social and health care.
You can critically evaluate and develop your expertise.
You are able to act as a consultant to the professionals and other patients / clients, utilizing a variety of communication methods.
You can coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team responsible for patient care.
You are able to design, promote, implement and evaluate your work community's expertise by using versatile methods and encourage your work community to continue to develop professionally.
You are able to evaluate and develop your staff's skills and responsibilities as planned.
You will be able to act as a mentor and trainer in multi-professional teams and networks by utilizing digital communication and taking into account community-based and ethical considerations.
You are able to develop an organizational culture that supports customer-oriented and safe service, multi-professional collaboration, employee well-being at work and development of skills.
You understand the importance of organizational communication in your activities.

Evaluation

Students can

a. acquire and evaluate cross-sectoral knowledge of expertise and development in their own field critically
c. respond to and develop expertise-related functions independently
f. work independently in expert duties in the field.

Student workload

Opintojakso on 5 op, eli 135 tuntia opiskelijan työtä. Opintojakso koostuu seuraavasti:
- 2 op (54 h) kliinisen asiantuntijan rooliin perehtyminen
- 2 op (54 h) asiantuntijaviestintä, suomi
- 1 op (27 h) asiantuntijaviestintä, englanti

Luentoja ja seminaareja = 32 tuntia
Itsenäistä opiskelua ja tehtävien tekemistä = 103 tuntia

1. Kliinisen asiantuntijan rooliin perehtyminen (1. lukukausi)
- orientaatioluento
- KLIAS ry:n koulutuspäivä 1.10.2021
- ryhmätehtävä ja sen purku seminaarissa
- yksilötehtävä, mikä palautetaan Learn-alustalle

2. Asiantuntijaviestintä, suomi (1. lukukausi)
- 4 lähiopetuskertaa (suomen kielen opettaja)

3. Asiantuntijaviestintä, englanti (3. lukukausi)
- 3 lähiopetuskertaa + seminaari (englannin kielen opettaja)

Opintojakson osat arvioidaan asteikolla hyväksytty - hylätty.
Opintojakson hyväksytty suoritus edellyttää tehtävien tekemiset ja niiden esittämisen seminaareissa.
