Design product workshop (5 cr)

Objective

• You can brand your own product portfolio.
• You can design and make design products for a sales event.
• You can take into account the idea, quality requirements and presentation of products.
• You learn about the pricing of products.

Content

• The student designs and carries out design products which are sold under their own name/with their brand.
• The student learns to price their products.
• The student prepares the packages for the design products.
• As a rule, the design products are designed and made independently but meetings with the supervisors are possible.
• The student participates in the sales event.

Study forms and methods

Xamk offers its students an opportunity to pursue studies flexibly to suit their various life situations. Students can choose between three learning routes: a learning route based on a working week, a learning route that accelerates the studies, and a work-based learning route.

Further information

There will be no teaching in the study module and it can be carried out by participating for example in fairs, exhibitions, competitions or sales transactions.
The passed study module requires portfolio and hour bookkeeping.
