Content
Greenwood design is an experimental design course based on greenwood workshop.
• What are the methods and tools used in greenwood design, and how to use them correctly?
• How do you recognize greenwood?
• What are the most central factors that define working and design in greenwood?
• What design and engineering methods are used to manage the challenges posed by natural forms and diverse materials and living with moisture in design work?
• How to choose a material suitable for the plans and what kind of compromises it requires?
Greenwood design opens up alternative opportunities to get to know the material and can help find new responsible alternatives to today's design problems.
In the course, objects are designed and made using greenwood carving methods.
