Objective

The course is based on the CBC-ENI international Finnish-Russian Race4Scale project. In particular, the two-day digital Future Profession Workshop in Finland is held on 28.10.2020 and 5.11.2020.

The course learning objectives are:
- to participate in the two-day digital "Future Profession Workshop in Finland" workshop
- to get familiar with the expert reports on the future of motorsport and automotive industries in Finland
- to participate in the extensive group work with the Finnish and Russian representatives of the secondary and tertiary educational levels
- to present group results orally and in a written form through the learning diary

Content

- Expert reports presented in English with the subsequent discussion of the report results in English and Finnish
- Experiential lectures and reports on creative methods of problem solving a team working environment
- Group work with the Finnish and Russian representatives of the secondary and tertiary educational levels
- Creation of a learning diary based on the workshop days and results of the interdisciplinary group work

Course material

The material for the course is distributed before, during and after the aforementioned workshop.

Study forms and methods

Students participate in the two-day Future Profession Workshop, engage actively in the multidisciplinary group work and write a learning diary based on the results of the group work.

Timing of exams and assignments

There are no exams in the course. The workshop is held on 28.10.2020 and 5.11.2020. The learning diaries are to be returned by 17.11.2020.

International cooperation

The course is fully based on the international CBC-ENI Finnish-Russian Race4Scale project.

Student workload

Students have to participate in the workshop, prepare for the workshop's group work and expert presentations. The workload of this part is 2 ECTS.
After the workshop, students have to study all the provided material, analyse the results of the group work during the workshop, and create a project-based learning diary. The workload of this part is 2 ECTS.
In total, students fulfill 4 ECTS.

Course part description

Part 1:
- Expert reports presented in English with the subsequent discussion of the report results in English and Finnish
- Experiential lectures and reports on creative methods of problem solving a team working environment
- Group work with the Finnish and Russian representatives of the secondary and tertiary educational levels

Part 2:
- Creation of a learning diary based on the workshop days and results of the interdisciplinary group work

Approved/Failed

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Assessment is based on the active participation in the two days of the workshop (2 ECTS) and writing a learning diary related to the results of the interdisciplinary group work (2 ECTS). Evaluation is done on a "passed"/"failed" principle.

Students can

b. look for information in the key information sources of the field.
d. work together with customers, users and target groups.
f. work as team members in a goal-oriented way.
g. justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.
