You are able to choose an appropriate method for data retrieval and justify your choice. You are able to gather and analyze data by using appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods. You are able to evaluate the reliability of a study. You are able to draw up a research report.
Content
How does a research process proceed? How to analyze quantitative and qualitative data? How to conduct practice-based research? How to evaluate the reliability of a study? How to write a research report?

Course part description
At the end of the study unit, students should be able to:
Differentiate scientific research from commonsense
Identify key steps in the research process
Propose, design and execute research taking into consideration the key elements
Evaluate the relevance and applicability of various existing research paradigms
Choose appropriate data collection and analysis strategy (for both quantitative and qualitative approaches)
Evaluate own research considering reliability and viability criteria
Further information
The teaching for English language qualitative research methods will take place on 18/9/2023 from 12.30 to 14.30 and 20/9/2023 from 13.00 to 15.00. The contact sessions will be through Teams. Teams link will be available in the course page.
