Entrepreneurship
What are the basics of business operations in health care?
What is the meaning of business operations as part of service production?

Management
How does the norm, resource and information guidance influence the organisation of services?
How do you evaluate and develop customer-oriented services? (understanding customers, timeliness of services and organizing services near customers, informing customers about the services, patient safety as part of a successful service chain and experience)
How do you evaluate, develop and follow the quality and profitability of the services in your own field in the changing environment of social and health care? (quality control, productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, project management)
How do you work as a team member and how do you guide a team during your work shift?
How do you prioritize and organize your activities? (ability to change, leading oneself and a team)

How do you promote work wellbeing in your work community? (teamwork skills, assertative communication, constructive feedback, occupational health and safety, labour legislation)

Study forms and methods

Opintojakso on tarkoitettu opintojen loppuvaiheessa oleville opiskelijoille eli sinulla tulee olla noin puolet opinnoista suoritettuna (min. 100 op).

Ennen opintojakson alkua pidetään infotunti VIIKOLLA 2, jossa opiskelija valitsee suorittaako opintojakson työviikkopohjaisesti yhteisöllisesti vai itsenäisesti verkko-opintoina.

Course part description

Opintojakso koostuu viidestä aihekokonaisuudesta, jotka ovat:
1. Suomalainen sosiaali- ja terveydenhuoltojärjestelmä ja sen poliittis-hallinnollinen ohjaus ja valvonta
2. Sosiaali- ja terveysalan yrittäjyys ja yrityksen perustaminen
3. Johtaminen ja organisaatiorakenteet sekä hoitotyön lähijohtaminen
4. Hoitotyön laatu sekä laadun parantaminen ja työn kehittäminen
5. Työelämä- ja työyhteisötaidot sekä työsuhde

Jos haet hyväksi lukua, sisällyttämistä tai aikaisemman osaamisen tunnistamista (AHOT), tee hakemus hyvissä ajoissa ENNEN opintojakson alkua. Pääsääntö hyväksi lukemisessa on, että yrittäjyyden ja johtamisen AMMATTIKORKEAKOULU ja YLIOPISTO tasoisia opintoja voidaan hyväksi lukea osittain, mutta sosiaali- ja terveysalan johtamiseen ja yrittäjyyteen liittyvät asiat tulee sisältyä näihin opintoihin.
