Objective

You can study physical performance and the aspects of health condition and are able to use assessment results when developing individual training programs.
You can use physiotherapeutic examination, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques in a customer-oriented, reasonable and safe way.
You are able to take into account the factors affecting the reliability of physiotherapeutic measurements and assessments.
You can use various, customer-oriented counselling methods of physiotherapy in individual and group situations.
You are able to take into consideration your personal working habits and ergonomics in customer service situations.
You can to evaluate your own and peers' actions when orientating to physiotherapy methods.

Which are the factors influencing the reliability of physiotherapeutic measurement and examination?
How do you arrange customer-oriented examination and guiding situations?
How do you assess and evaluate physical performance and health condition and how do you design training programs based on assessment results?
How do you analyze gait and running?
How do you assess and guide motor control?
How do you measure and assess joint and vertebral mobility?
How do you promote mobility with manual mobilization techniques?
How do you increase joint mobility with activating exercises?
How do you plan and arrange customer-oriented training programs?
How do you plan and implement exercise programs for different target groups?
How do your personal working habits and ergonomics affect the physical and mental stress in your customer service situations?
How do you evaluate your own and peers' physiotherapy technique skills?

Studying in the course is carried out on campus. The course may also include working at another designated location. If you have previous knowledge of the subjects studied in the course, you can discuss partial AHOT or AHOT with the course teachers during orientation.

The student must demonstrate competence in the subjects of the course.

Student workload

The course is 10 ECTS CR which means about 270 hours of independent work for students.
About 100 hours are implemented on campus as practical training according to the schedule. The course includes independent work, teamwork and practical training.

The course includes studying the theoretical knowledge of the subjects, learning tasks and practical training.

Further information

Studying in the course requires that you have competence according to the first semester, and you have returned / completed all tasks and exams (approved).

The course is assessed as pass / fail. The course's learning tasks and the exam (demonstrating competence) must be passed.
