Objective

The student learns the process of publishing an informative magazine (Insider) in English both in digital and printed format. The aim of the magazine is to increase communication and cultural understanding, promote teamwork and independent thinking.

Content

How to produce a weekly magazine.
How to write student oriented articles.
How to carry out interviews, report on events, photograph happenings and persons.
How to conduct editorial meetings, and develop the magazine.

Timing of exams and assignments

No exams, weekly article writing.

The course is from 5-10 credits depending on the amount of hours according to the student's own logbook of activities. Contact responsible lecturer to join the editorial team.

Qualifications

Good written and spoken English, Finnish language is a bonus. Outgoing personality, team spirit and a keen interest in attending events and writing about them.
