Objective
You know the basics of heart anatomy and physiology.
You know the basics of taking a high-quality ECG.
You can systematically study and interpret the most common findings of the ECG in nursing.
You will strengthen your theoretical competence in how a nurse recognizes a normal ECG and the most common changes in the ECG.
Content
Anatomy and physiology of the heart. Online material and test 1.
Taking and recording a high-quality ECG. Online material and test 2.
Studying the ECG systematically and interpreting the most common findings in the ECG in nursing. Online material and test 3.
ECG exercises. Online material and final exam.

Study forms and methods
This on online implementation where you study by your own schedule. You have 2 months to complete the course.
Timing of exams and assignments
Three tests and final exam, which is evaluated numerically.

Students`s workload is 135 hours

Anatomy and physiology of hearth (7 hours, 0,25 ECTS)
Quality of ECG taking and recording (20 hours, 0,75 ECTS)
Systematic ECG interpretation (40 hours, 1,5 ECTS)
ECG findings (67 hours, 2,5 ECTS)

1-5
Assessment methods and criteria
Comptence goals of the nursing student, level 3.
Three tests are estimated accepted / failed, at least 75 % correct. Finally exam is evaluateded numeratically 1-5, at least 50 % correct.
