Objective
You are able to design, implement and operate a small service provider network.
You are able to describe the most common services and select the best solution for the customer and implement it into the network.
You know what technologies and protocols are needed to build a provider network and are able to troubleshoot the offered services.
You are able to critically assess the security of the network and its services, also from the customer’s point of view.

What technologies and protocols are needed to build a secure provider network?
How to build a secure foundation for provider services?
How to implement and troubleshoot various services?
How to select the proper service to meet the customer's demands?
How to interconnect a provider network with the Internet and other providers?
What are the security risks in Internet routing and provider services?
Course material
Online self-study material, online resources and remote laboratory exercises. The study materials will be published in the Learn environment during the course.
Study forms and methods
The course is mainly completed by participating in teaching according to the schedule, whereby studies progress according to the group's schedule and at the pace of independent exercises. The theory of the topic is discussed and exercises are done together during face-to-face teaching hours. The student also has the opportunity to complete the course at an accelerated pace by studying independently and doing tasks at their own pace. The course includes group activities.

The course includes weekly learning assignments.
Student workload
Achieving the learning outcomes requires 135 hours of work of which about third is contact lessons and laboratory exercises and the rest is self study, practise exams and remote laboratory exercises.

Assessment is based on learning activities, laboratory exercises and online execises.
