Objective

You become familiar with the Finnish service system for child protection and legislation.
You identify different life situations of children and families and are able to assess the need for child protection.
You know the principles of child's best interest.
You identify the stages of the child protection process.
You become familiar with the ethical principles, work orientations and methods of working with children, young people and families.

Opiskelumateriaali tarjotaan kurssipohjassa e-versioina.

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Opintojakso pitää sisällään luentoja, worshopin, seminaarin, simullatioharjoitukset, ryhmämuotoisen oppimistehtävän, sekä verkkotentin. Opintojaksolla edellytetään läsnäoloa kaikilla lähiopetustunneilla. Vaihtoehtona on ottaa asiat haltuun kirjallisten tehtävien kautta. Lisäksi kurssilla on opettajien lyhyet luento-aiheisiin liittyvät testit joissa menestyminen otetaan huomioon kurssin kokonaisarvosanassa.

Osaamisen näyttö: Vähintään kaksi vuotta lastensuojelutyötä tehneille.

Työhön integroitu väylä: Lastensuojelussa parhaillaan työskenteleville räätälöidyt tehtävät.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Yhteistyö työelämän kanssa: vierailijakäynnit ja yhteinen seminaari.

Student workload
