Objective
After completing the practical training you know how to:
- meet different types of clients and client groups and identify their needs in everyday life.
- form client-oriented professional interaction relationships.
- describe work orientations and work practices of social work in the community of your practical training place.
- tell how your values guide your work and describe values, attitudes and legislation prevailing in your practical training place.
- evaluate your work and your working methods in relation to the working community, the basic tasks of the organization and the ethical principles of the social sector.
- reflect your own skills and set your own development needs.

Study forms and methods
Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Sosionomi-opintojen 1.harjoittelu suoritetaan 7 viikon mittaisena. Opiskelija etsii / valitsee harjoittelupaikkansa itse. Tarvittaessa vastuuopettaja vahvistaa paikan soveltuvuuden harjoitteluun. Harjoittelun ajaksi opiskelijalle nimetään ohjaava opettaja ja harjoittelupaikasta lähiohjaaja. Harjoittelun aikana opiskelija suorittaa 1.harjoitteluun erikseen laaditut kirjalliset tehtävät.
Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Sosionomi-opintojen 1.harjoitteluun voidaan hakea hyväksilukua riittävän sosiaalialan työkokemuksen perusteella. Tarkemmat hyväksilukusäännöt löytyvät Opintojen ohjaus sosialialalla -moodlesivulta.
Student workload
Sosionomi-opintojen 1.harjoittelu on kestoltaan 7 viikkoa. Opiskelijan viikottainen harjoitteluaika on 35 tuntia.
