Objective
You are able to write and speak in English in key communication situations. You are able to use various tools of learning English, for example in writing and improving pronunciation and vocabulary skills. You improve your language learning skills. The aim is to reach level B2 (CEFR) English skills which are required in the obligatory courses of professional English in the degree programme.
Content
What are the key structures of English that you need in your work? How do you respond in typical spoken communication situations? How do you write short texts in English? How do you improve your pronunciation and vocabulary skills and describe events in the correct tense? How do you develop your language learning skills and use related tools efficiently?

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
a) You are able to use the key structures and vocabulary of English both in spoken and written language. b) You are able to look for information relating to the English language. e) You are able to choose tools that support your English studies and personal methods of study and use them efficiently. In addition, the assessment of English studies relies on the competence levels defined in the Common European Frame of Reference and the national skill level descriptions that are based on the European framework.
