What are geospatial data and geographic information systems (GIS).
How can remote sensing and global position systems be utilized?
How is geospatial data collected and how are digital maps made?
How is geospatial data used in environmental research?
What are the development visions in the field of GIS and remote sensing?

The material presented and provided via e-platform of the course. Self-acquired materials.
Study forms and methods
Scheduled track: Participate in exercises, teaching and supervision in accordance with the schedule. (No possibility for distance learning. It is presented at the beginning of the course.)
RDI and work-related cooperation
Getting familiar with GIS-related consulting services
Timing of exams and assignments
Will be decided as per the schedule and in agreement with the participants.
Student workload
Classroom work for 45 hours, and independent work for 90 hours. The total workload is 135 hours.
