Academic writing (2 cr)

Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to search for information by versatile and appropriate means, knows the characteristics of report and thesis writing processes and the features of research documents, and is able to apply her/his knowledge in oral and written reporting.

Study forms and methods

Teaching according to the sequence of lessons, partial recognition of competence or credit for previous performance.

RDI and work-related cooperation

In the course, basic communication skills for working life are also practiced.

Timing of exams and assignments

The implementation is based on exercises, presentation and requires attendance

International cooperation

Studying communication gives generic level international skills.

Student workload

2 credits are 54 student work hours.

Assessment methods and criteria

Rating scale: Commendable (5), good (4-3), satisfactory (2-1): rejected (0). Passed performance requires active participation in teaching.

The student does homework and remote assignments according to the instructions and schedule given by the teacher, and actively participates in face-to-face teaching.
