Objective
Familiarization to basic elements of leadership and management.
Focusing the managing strategies and methods in maritime related organizations.
Content
Gain basic skills in:
• organizational management
• personnel issues and leadership
• challenges in maritime business environment
• assessing and managing risks
Course material
The literature of the course is announced to those registered for the study course.
Study forms and methods
A learning path integrated into working life: In addition to local teaching and a possible literature exam, we prepare a personal plan for each of you to complete the content and goals of this course in cooperation with working life.
RDI and work-related cooperation
One or more R&D or working life assignments can be completed during the course.
Timing of exams and assignments
The assignments and exams to be assessed are agreed in the introductory lecture of the course.
All assignments must be completed before taking the exam.
The course exam is taken before the end of the course.
It is permitted to take re-examinations in accordance with the degree regulations, if other tasks to be assessed for the course have been completed by the deadline.
