The course does not include TKI (research, developement, innovation) projects.

Timing of exams and assignments

This course includes several smaller sewing assignments, which are to be turned in at the end of the May.

The course does not include international studies.

Student workload

This course equals about 135h of work - part of it is to be done independently.

Course part description

This course is for students to learn and refresh their basic sewing skills or deepen their sewing abilities depending on their current skills. This course fits most of the fashion and costume design students but is most fitting as a prepping course before designing and sewing their first collection at their second year or for the first-year students to deepening their Material Workshop course learning. More experienced students can attend to the course to learn how to sew and work with more difficult materials like lace and sheer and slippery fabrics.

Further information

The student may collect materials to work with during the course and search picture examples of the fashion details they would like to learn. Be prepared to present them during the first meeting.

Assessment methods and criteria

Grading depends on turned in sewing assignments and active participation during the workshops and lectures. Abundace of sewing assingments and tests and growing one's personal skills is emphazised in grading.
