Objective

Mental health work
You are able to apply evidence-based data in mental health, substance abuse and crisis management work.
You are able to apply knowledge of the most important mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses in nursing.
You are able to carry out key nursing interventions and pharmacotherapy that are used in the treatment of mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses.
You are able to interact professionally and caringly with clients / patients from different backgrounds, as well as with their close relations.

Substance abuse treatment
You can implement evidence-based methods in the care of substance abusers.

Crisis management work
You know how to support people in an acute crisis.
You recognize individual manifestations of grief.

What are the most common mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses?
What are the measures and methods used to treat mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses?
How is pharmacotherapy carried out in the most common mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses?

Substance abuse treatment
How do you apply evidence-based data in substance abuse treatment?
What information is needed on substance abuse from the perspective of substance abuse treatment work?
What are the methods of substance abuse treatment and early intervention?
How is substance abuse prevention implemented? How is the treatment of detrimental outcomes and health risks and problems due to substance abuse carried out?

Crisis management work
How do you apply evidence-based data in crisis care?
How is an acute crisis defined and what stages does an acute crisis involve?
How is the need for mental support identified?
What is expert assistance and how is it provided?
How do you identify individual manifestations of grief?
