Methods of social work (10 cr)

Objective

You develop your competence of client work further by applying the approaches and working methods of the social welfare work.
You are able to guide and direct your clients in the service and subsidy systems together with hers/his personal and professional networks as well as with the multidisciplinary team of the internship organization.
You set professional development goals for yourself in order to further develop your ethics, knowledge base and skills and reflect on your own client work competence as a whole.

What approaches and methods of social welfare work are in use at your internship organization?
How you apply them in client work?
What services, support and subsidies your clients are eligible?
How you guide and direct your clients in the service and subsidy systems together with hers/his personal and professional networks as well as with the multidisciplinary team of the internship organization?
What personal goals you set for your further professional development and why?
How you reflect on them from the viewpoints of ethics, knowledge base and skills?

Qualifications

Practical trainings must be completed in the order specified in the curriculum. In addition, the performance of the study unit “Client work in social welfare” as a whole is a prerequisite.
