Professional Swedish for nursing (3 cr)

Objective

You are able to communicate in Swedish orally and in writing in various communication situations in your professional field. You are able to actively use the basic professional vocabulary of your field.
The aimed level of competence is B1 as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference and the national skills level descriptions according to decree 18.12.2014/1129.

What professional vocabulary is essentially necessary related to education, working environment and work tasks?
How to interact in spoken and written field-specific communication situations in Swedish?

Opiskelumateriaali on Learn-ympäristössä.

Study forms and methods

Opintojakson opetus toteutetaan verkossa. Tunteja ei tallenneta. Tunneilla on minimiläsnäolovelvollisuus 50 %.
Opiskelu rytmittyy työjärjestyksen mukaisten verkkotapaamisten ja itsenäisesti tehtävien oppimistehtävien mukaan.
Opettajan ohjausta on saatavilla tuntien yhteydessä tai erikseen sopien.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Opintojaksolla käsitellään työelämän sanastoa ja viestintätilanteita.

Timing of exams and assignments

Opintojakson oppimistehtävät tehdään annetun aikataulun mukaan. Opintojakson päätteeksi tehdään sekä suullinen että kirjallinen tentti kampuksella. Uusintojen aikataulu ilmoitetaan opintojakson alussa.
Kirjallisen tentin rästi- tai uusintatentit tehdään Examissa.

Student workload

1 op vastaa noin 27 tuntia opiskelijan työtä. Opintojakson kokonaistyömäärä on noin 81 tuntia. Työmäärä kuitenkin riippuu aiemmasta osaamisesta.

Opintojaksolle merkitään Peppiin erikseen suullisen ja kirjallisen taidon arviointi.

Qualifications

If you have been instructed to participate in the Intensive course of Swedish, you must complete it or independently acquire the equivalent knowledge and skills before you can participate in this course.

Further information

In accordance with the statutory requirement (424/2003, ch.2, section 6) of language skills required of state personnel with an academic degree, the skills in second official language will be recorded in the degree certificate separately for both spoken and written skills.
Grades 1-3 are recorded as satisfactory skills and grades 4-5 as good skills in the degree certificate.
