Objective

You are able to lead yourself, develop you self-leadership and your competences as a responsible member of your work communiy.
You are able to analyze and develop work community collaboration by means of solution-oriented approaches.
You are able to apply leadership models in an appropriate way.
You are able to act as a leader in workplace situations typically encountered by supervisors.

How do you identify various roles, behavior patterns and phenomena in work communities?
How do you communicate and act as a responsible member of a work community and lead it?
How do you apply leadership models in various types of organisations?
How do you develop work community collaboration in a goal-oriented way?
How do you act as a leader and supervisor in changing working life environments?

Changes are possible.
In addition / as a substitute, book and article material announced by the teacher

Study forms and methods

The study course is mainly carried out as untimed online teaching, but it also includes 5 timed remote teaching sessions. Distance learning courses require active participation. Remote lectures are recorded.

Studying takes place in the Learn environment. Access to the course platform opens on the day the course begins. In addition to internet connection, video and audio connection is required to participate.

The assessed tasks are done independently. Assignments must be returned within the given schedule.

The course utilizes the written feedback method.

RDI and work-related cooperation

The learning tasks of the course are based on working life models.

Timing of exams and assignments

The schedules of assignments etc. are announced at the beginning of the study period on the Learn platform.

International and multicultural examples of work communities.

Student workload

1 ECTS corresponds to approximately 27 hours of student work.

Course part description

In the first section, we familiarize ourselves with the core skill areas of self-management through task work.
In the second section, we learn about different management styles and paradigms and management theories.
In the third section, it introduces the analysis of the work community's operation and the development of its functionality.
In the fourth part, we familiarize ourselves with the typical tasks and tools of a manager, such as motivation, giving feedback, encouraging and recruiting.
In addition, management operating models in various organizations are examined.
The fifth section is a report about a work related to the literature of the field.

The evaluation of approved performances is carried out based on substantive and professional aspects.
